Tourist Drive and Tourist Way markers denote roads through areas of significant scenic or historic interest. 1 The difference between a Tourist Drive and Tourist Way is simply that the Tourist Drive is limited to a certain locality, whilst a Tourist Way may be longer and encompass more than one geographical area. Tourist Drives were introduced into Western Australia while Eric Charlton was the state government Minister for Transport in the 1990s. At the time of introduction there was a total of 28 tourist related routes. 2
