Dimboola lies just off the Western Highway at the junction of the Borung Highway and on the banks of the Wimmera River. Just south of the town is Little Desert National Park which has self guided bushwalks, and 6km west, on the Western Highway is Pink Lake, a famous salt lake with a strong unusual pink colour.
