General Information:

Signals installed in Queensland during the 1980s used incandescent bulbs to display indications to drivers. In QLD, target boards were employed on overhead mast-arm signals to enhance the visibility of signals for approaching vehicles. These target boards were entirely black. Target boards were not included for signals at ground level.

This page concentrates on signals and related equipment released between 1980 and 1989 and used within QLD. All the signals on this page have been replaced with modern equipment.
