General Information:

C802 is a suburban route through the Bacchus Marsh area and was once a part of the Western Hwy routing through the town.

History:

10 August 1918: A memorial avenue of about 390 mature English Elms over 3.3 km in length on Bacchus Marsh Road in its approach to the town from Melbourne, was planted. 2
30 June 1972: Bacchus Marsh bypass opened to traffic by the Hon. Sir Henry Bolte, GCMG, MP. The bypass was 6 miles in length and cost of A$4.3m to construct. 3
