General Information:

A300 / B300 is one of the longer routes in Victoria, acting almost as a loop covering several regions of country Victoria. It's a mix of single carriageway rural highway and divided highway. The route services industrial, commercial, residential and rural zones, and also passes through mountainous bushland terrain at it's eastern end.

History:

2006: Installation of traffic signals and pedestrian facilities at the intersection of Barker Street (Midland Highway) and Lyttleton Street in Castlemaine. 2
2007: Completion of the $10.6 million duplication of the Midland Highway in Geelong. The addition of four overtaking lanes between Batesford and Buninyong was made as well as the installation of a roundabout at Bannockburn. 3
2009: Installation of traffic lights at the junction of Maroondah Highway and Melba Highway in Coldstream. 4
April 2010: Yarra Glen Truck Bypass opens to traffic. 5
