General Information:
A5 is a route the runs to the south and west of the Great Lake and crosses the Great Western Tiers. The route at its highest point is 1220 metres above sea level.
A5 connects with the Bass Highway (NH1), Emu Bay Road, Marlborough Highway (B11), Meander Valley Highway (B54), Midland Highway (NH1) and Poatina Road (B51).
