History:

7 December 1984: Official opening of the Southern Ipswich Bypass on the Cunningham Highway by the honourable Sir Joh Bjelke-Petersen, KCMG, MLA, the then premier and treasurer of Queensland. 2
July 2006: Commencement of upgrade of the Five Mile Bridge on Haigslea-Amberley Road. The upgrade included replacing the timber deck, installing guardrails and strengthening the bridge support structures. 3
2009: The Wallace Creek Bridge, located on Boonah-Rathdowney Road at Boonah, officially named. The original single-lane timber bridge was also replaced with a $2.8 million two-lane concrete structure with new approaches, which designed to improve flood immunity for a 50 year flood event, with a correction of the vertical alignment to remove the hidden dip at the quarry approach road. 4
