General Information:
State Route 3 on Queensland's Gold Coast is a suburban arterial route which acts feeder and by-pass route through the inner western suburbs.
It's a divided road which passes through generally commercial and residential zones, including canal home areas. At the southern end it passes by a quarry and close to the Reedy Creek land fill facility.
History:
- 3 June 1997: Bermuda Street Extension to Pacific Motorway. 2
- August 2000: High Street Duplication to four lanes. 2
- April 2010: Widening works begin on Bermuda St at the Reedy Creek Rd junction at Burliegh Heads. 3
- November 2010: Traffic signals switched on at the Executive Drive and Bermuda Street intersection at Burleigh Heads. 4
- June 2011: Work begins on implementation of on-road bicycle lanes along Southport-Burleigh Road between Markeri Street and Christine Avenue. 5
