General Information:

State Route 61 was a rural route which serviced mostly rural, residential and commercial zones and formed part of a longer link connecting several highways. The New England Highway forms part of the north-south intra-state route linking northern New South Wales to the Darling Downs and South Burnett.

2005: A3 route number introduced, decommissioning State Route 61.²
