General Information:

Johnson Drive is a single carriageway route (with provision to be dual carriageway in the future) that acts a connector between the far southern suburbs of the Tuggeranong Valley and Monaro Highway (A23). The route used to be a part of Tourist Drive 5 for less than 100 metres.

Johnson Drive was named after Herbert Victor Johnson, who was a politician and union official. ¹

4 June 1982: Road name was gazetted. ¹

1999: Construction of the roundabout on the corner of Johnson Drive and Monaro Highway at Theodore. ²

2007: Construction of the roundabout on the corner of Johnson Drive and Ashley Drive at Calwell. ³
