General Information:
Gundaroo Drive is an arterial road linking Gungahlin town cente with Barton Highway and Federal Highway via Horse Park Drive. It's a mix of divided and undivided road, and originally a single carriageway road and is one of the oldest roads through the Gungahlin area, originally starting life as Gundaroo Road before the area was converted from farmland to suburbia.
Between Barton Hwy and Nudurr Dr, and also between Gungahlin Dr and Mirrabei Dr, the route parallels Ginniderra Creek which provides water for the 2 man-made lakes in Gungahlin (Gungahlin and Yerrabi Ponds) and also the man-made lake (Lake Ginninderra) in Belconnen town centre.
