General Information:
Erindale Drive is a continuation of Yamba Drive and links Woden Valley with Tuggeranong. The route varies from dual carriageway to single carriageway, with the latter placed alongside of a road reserve set aside for duplication. The route passes through mostly residential and parkland areas.
History:
- 1982: Construction begins on the roundabout at the intersection of Erindale Drive and Ashley Drive. 1
- 1983: Construction of a roundabout at the junction of Erindale Drive and Sternberg Crescent. 2
- 1986: Reconstruction of the Erindale Drive / Drakeford Drive junction. 3 Duplication of Erindale Drive between Long Gully Road and Sulwood Drive. 4
- July 1986: Construction of Erindale Drive bridge over Lake Tuggeranong. This section of road is now Soward Way. 5
- March 1987: Erindale Drive / Sulwood Drive roundabout opened to traffic. 6
- October 2013: Stage one works began on the duplication of Erindale Drive between Sternberg Crescent and Ashley Drive, part-time traffic signals (for the morning peak) on the eastern approach to the Sternberg Crescent and Erindale Drive roundabout, and the introduction of left slip turn lanes on Erindale Drive (southbound) at the approaches to both Sternberg Crescent and Ashley Drive. 7
