General Information:

I-5 is a major north–south route of the Interstate Highway System in the United States, connecting the USA / Mexican border to the USA / Canadian border, and is the more important and most-used of the two major north–south routes on the Pacific Coast, the other being US 101, which is primarily follows the coast.

Multiplexes along the route include:

• CA33, for 21 km (13 miles), between Coalinga and Cantua Creek
• CA99, for 5 km (3 miles), between Natomas Crossing and Creekside in Sacramento
